    Agile methodology

    The basis of the operating methodology is organization customized scrumban (combination of Scrum and Kanban agile methodologies), which provides a proper solution to the planned and unplanned tasks, as well as the related measurement and planning issues.
    The essence of the scrum method is to assign the tasks to “sprints” – which means a period within 2 weeks. Tasks are assigned to sprints at the sprint planner meetings, based on the decision made at the project meeting, according to a prioritized list. At the “sprint planner” meeting at the beginning of the given sprint, the resource manager tells the team which tasks to be completed asap. For each task, a responsible and a resource allocation (estimated / remaining time) is defined, which must be accepted by the person responsible for the given task.

    At the end of the current sprint, the team evaluates the success of the sprint (e.g. presentation of KPIs and other metrics) and, if necessary, presents the completed functions (retrospective). If a task fails to be delivered in the given sprint, the team will evaluate it and define the steps required to complete the task and the remaining time required. Based on this, the resource manager will reschedule the task (s).

    Kanban is a method for unplanned tasks, that should aim to complete started task as soon as possible. The order of the tasks to be solved is defined by the resource manager (with the involvement of additional colleagues if necessary). Care should be taken to ensure that such tasks do not affect the tasks planned at the beginning of the sprint. If it occurs anyway, it should be reported to the resource manager as soon as possible.

    CAREVOL – Development of a mobile, remote medical monitoring device suitable for permanent wear.

    The full title of the project is CAREVOL – Development of a mobile remote monitoring device for medical use for permanent wear, as well as emergency detection and health risk analysis software based on neural self-learning algorithms.

    The grant rate is 69.02%, the project completion date is November 12, 2017.

    The project was implemented as a consortium. The consortium leader is Insula-Pilup Ltd., the consortium members are DealCom Ltd. and EuroMACC Ltd. The companies have many years of research and medical experience, thus ensuring the professional feasibility of the project. During the implementation, experimental development and industrial research activities were carried out, within which 8 activities were identified: development of a measuring device (experimental development), research of signal processing algorithms (industrial research), medical research (industrial research), diagnostics and preventive models research (industrial research), development of an analytical module (experimental development), development of a framework (experimental development), development of mobile applications (experimental development), conducting clinical trials (industrial research). In connection with the project, preparatory and project management tasks were also connected, which helped the smooth professional feasibility of the development.
    The aim of the project was to develop a high-sensitivity wristwatch (measuring device) with a precision to measure the vital functions at medical level, fitting to casual and sport clothing, that has an emergency button and a related artificial intelligence (machine learning) based health analysis and services. The watch continuously measures the wearer’s movement (gyroscope and accelerometer), heart rate, body temperature level, and skin conductivity, as well as a 1-lead ECG sensor that provides non-continuous ECG measurement and blood pressure estimation (typically 1 time per day and upon the detection of a cardio-vascular event). The watch transmits the measured data to the data center via a Bluetooth connection of the connected smartphone.

Based on market needs, we have implemented our Billing Bureau service, which offers our customers an operating solution for COSMOSS ™, hIPer ™ and other systems in an outsourcing design.
